21 Week Update

I know I'm pretty much a solid week behind on this, but I want to post, even if it's super late!

How far along? 22 weeks, 3 days today; 21 weeks, 3 days at time of photo

How big is baby? Baby is the size of a pomegranate

How am I feeling? Pretty sleepy these past couple of weeks, but other than that, good! I'm so excited for the next month or so and I think it's going to FLY by!

Symptoms? Still acne. Hopefully it goes away after baby arrives! A bit tired. A bit uncomfortable. I wish I could be one of those women who just thrive in pregnancy, but honestly, I'm just not. Nothing crazy awful has happened or anything, it's just wearing on me a bit, so I'm trying to focus on being thankful and pleasant ;)

Cravings? Food. I seriously am always eating. I've gained more than I'd like to, but I'm keeping up a good workout regimen. And I am just so hungry!!

Stretch Marks? None yet!

Sleep? I caved and bought a pregnancy pillow last week, which is really nice! But I'm just tired. I feel like if I adjusted my schedule somehow I might not be, but I don't know how haha.

Movement? Lots and lots. He's very consistently moving around in there, but typically I can only feel him when I'm sitting or lying down. (Actually, just after I wrote this, I was able to feel him while standing-just not quite as intensely)

Looking Forward to? This weekend! It's the Wounded Warrior 8K in Franklin, but first I'm dropping the pups off in Atlanta to stay through Thanksgiving. While I'm not participating in the run, I'm sure we'll have a lot of fun!

What have been the highlights of the week? Last weekend, a stranger was brave enough to assume that I was pregnant :). I'm sure others have, but just haven't said anything. I also got some cute new maternity stuff, which is always fun. Friday was Andrew's solo party, which is a moderately large event in the UPT community. He got his first call sign (which will change often as he moves from group to group). His is Toni, which stands for T-1 IP. It's a joke, and a pretty good one, as this would be his absolute least favorite assignment :).

I seriously feel like this month is going to fly by! After our weekend in TN, I'll spend a week back here and then go to GA through Thanksgiving (so about 2 weeks). The baby shower my family is throwing will be then as well, and I am so so so excited!! After that, its just a little bit til Christmas! This baby will be here in no time, which is amazing and scary at the same time. I feel like I'm going to need to start doing some serious baby related homework here pretty soon ;)

  1. Elizabeth! So cute! You will use that pregnancy pillow out by the end! It's truly the only way I could sleep. My belly was so huge it needed its own bed. And I promise the acne goes away :) I had it bad until 30 weeks, then it just kept getting better and now I have better skin than ever. I recommend Belli Pregnancy Acne wash, made it so I could go out in public ;)
